Buenos días, desarolladores! We’ve been scouring the Americas and beyond to find some extra resources and opportunities for your traffic-busting apps.
Here are a couple things we think you’ll like:
BlaBlaCar is a carsharing platform that got its start in Mexico DF and then expanded globally. Luckily for us, they’re making their API available for the Mexico City Mobility Challenge! BlaBlaCar’s web service v2 allows authorized partners to search for carsharing trips, just as BlaBlaCar’s website does. The web service is based on REST and is available in both XML and JSON formats. Full documentation is here; you can sign up for API access here.
EcoMotion Smart Transportation Accelerator
Our friends @ EcoMotion are accepting applications for the third batch of their Smart Transportation Accelerator. If you’ve already got an app in progress, or are part of a transportation startup, you should check it out.
Projects accepted into the program will gain exposure to a variety of experts, companies, investors, mentors, and leaders in the transportation industry. They will also receive funding to develop their products (up to 100,000 NIS, or about USD$26,000), professional services and work space, as well as support for the creation of new partnerships.
Proposals are due October 8; you can apply here.
Impact Hub co-working space
Impact Hub is a global network of co-working spaces with a social good bent, and they’ve got a branch in Mexico City. They offer workspace, a supportive community of fellow hackers-for-good, and workshops and events. Drop into their upcoming talent hour to check out job opportunities with projects that make an impact.
